Dang, whopper of a doe!
I like the mangled tail feather shot. Funny!
Whatever ate that turkey got all of it didn't it?
Hey Tracy, gather up all those wing feathers and stuff 'em in the box with my arrows when ya send 'em. No hurry. I know you got more important things to do.
There sure is alot of air around a squirrel...eeyup.

peter c iacavazzi

Damn, you two "knuckleheads" sure look good in that Sitka Gear! That is one big doe.

One question: Who set up that DB...I hope ol' Tracy doesn't expect me to set one up, cuz as you know I am DB set up impaired!

Have fun guys!

Curt,
Nice doe.
Killing me with the turkey feathers. LOL
Have you seen a Kansas buck yet? I mean a ground slobbering hoss yet? Living and hunting PA just makes me yearn for Kansas or Iowa or Missouri...
Enjoy the rest of your time in Kansas.

What a monster!  That's got to be the biggest doe I've ever seen.  (Either that or you guys ought to sell your photography tricks to Check Adams)

Thanks guys...we're having a blast!! Hardly any deer yet , but the turkeys are keeping us busy!

Yeah, she was a big ol' horse headed girl....

The snuffer took her almost perfect at the slight angle and slammed into the far shoulder. The bllod trail was surprisingly sparce. As we followed we couldn't believe that with a snuffer the blood trail was so light. I also noticed that what blood was hitting the ground wasn'r lung blood. But the string made it easy to go right to her. When we found her we found all the blood. It was all over her and around her, she'd gone about 150yds. Vance has a picture, but not sure I want to post it...very graphic!!   :scared:   We later found out that the shot had cut the trachea and arteries abouve the heart and just nicked the front of the lungs. I'll have to post the video's when I get home.

It was awesome to have Tracy right there with me sharing everything. We're sure having a great time. It was also nice to have young Tress and his friend Daniel there for the short drag!  :goldtooth:

This morning we hunted a double set tree stand. We saw a bobcat, but no deer again.  This afternoon our plan was to hunt apart for the first time. I took a deer stand and Tracy hit the DB.

I saw a couple deer at a distance that where on to me. Little did I know what Tracy was up to.....I'll let him tell the rest....

Curt, nice doe. Congratulations.  We do have some big old deer around here don't we?  My buddies from back in MD and WV are amazed everytime they see our midwest deer.  It is nice to have the young guys around to haul them out of the woods.

cjones

We sent some pix off the Vance so I'm sure Tracy will tell his tale soon. I will say this, he did real good! He doubled on two awesome critters.....the rest is up to him.....

Hopefully we'll start seeing some deer soon.....
