That's a great story chuck, I enjoyed the heck out of it. Your bow has now come full circle.

Thanks a lot for sharing that with us.

You're probably aware that the min draw weight here for big game, is 35#. If your old bow still pulls 35, it would be pretty sweet to take a deer with it. To my way of thinking anyway, it would be even sweeter to do it in the Adirondacks. Heck, that's where you got your bow.

I'd like to make you an offer. I have a little hunting shack in the Adirondack foothills. Nothing fancy by any means. It's small, but It's warm and dry. If you'd like to come up and give it a go with the old bow sometime this fall, your more than welcome.

I'm not able to go up and stay for a week or two at a time like I used to, but I can sneak away for a couple or three days, a few times a season.

You can hunt with any bow you want, doesn't have to be the old longbow, but I hope if It's something you'd be interested in doing, that you'd bring it along.

You've got lots of time to think it over, and no pressure from this end. Give it some thought.

You're very welcome Chuck.

There's some big, beautiful woods up there, but the deer are few and far between.

Any deer is legal during bow season, so that ups the odds some, depending on what you'd be looking for, and there are some slammers running around up there. I don't mean this to sound like a brag, but I've killed a few bucks up there over the years, that most people would consider respectable.

As it stands right now, I should be able to make it to OXTAR, and if you think you'd like to give it a shot, we'll make some plans for sure.
