I drew a once in a lifetime Elk Tag in New Mexico
« on: April 29, 2015, 03:20:00 PM »
Just found out that My buddy and I drew elk tags in the Valle Vidal in New Mexico. September 15-24, this is a once in a lifetime tag, you can never draw it again. Cant wait to get out there and scout!

Holy Smokes Mike!  That is a heck of a tag!  Are you able to spend the week or so prior to the season out there as well as the dates of the season itself?  If it were me I'd put everything I possibly could into that tag!
Congratulations - can't wait for the reports!

Mike, that is awesome! That is some of the most beautiful county we have here in NM. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you all, I drew an elk tag in the western part of the state, also super excited.

Going to try and get a sinew and osage bow done for the hunt. I have a special bull snake skin set back for it. This bull snake was sent to me special by my snake dealer in Texas that I did business with for almost 20 years. He passed away a year ago in November and I have had this skin put away for a special occasion. I cant think of a better way to honor him than on a bow for this hunt.
