My kid owes me an arrow
« on: April 29, 2015, 07:45:00 PM »
My son and I were out shooting our bows at one of those round foam ball targets.  I hit it and it turned sideways.  Well my son shoots one of his little aluminum pixie stick arrows and hits mine perfectly - splits it sideways and his arrow stayed in it.

Surewood shafts are tough, but they don't stand up to a sharp pointed pixie stick.

I know your pain.... When I was 8 i had a mis-match of arrows. My buddy and I were clout shooting and my favorite arrow stood in the ground straight up at 40 yards or so.  My best friend said he was going to shoot my arrow in half and proceeded to do so.

He was a great shot!!!

That is a shot your son will not soon forget. Great Photo John! I love it!
Relax,

You'll live longer!

My advice, "Get used to it!"
Remember--Some People are alive simply because it is illegal to shoot them.

Some people can paint the Sistine chapel, some people can finger-paint, and some people just eat the Crayons....

I'm glad you have a shooting buddy to break an arrow on you once in a while.  ;)  I explained to my grandson, 5 years old, what it means to Robin Hood an arrow the last time we shot together, and it seems to be his mission in life now, lol. Have fun, and enjoy every minute of it.
