First turkey.....ever!
« on: May 02, 2015, 10:29:00 AM »
After unsuccessfully hunting turkeys since the late 90's, I finally got my first turkey. I started out using my bow and I told myself I would take one with my bow or I wouldn't take one at all. Well today I did it, and I couldn't be any happier. VT tom,18#, 8.5" beard

Congrats!! I'm still looking for my first "trad" turkey. Took many with the shotgun but have gone totally trad for the past 5 years and haven't killed one since.

Feeling good about this season... doesn't end until May 23rd.

Good for you. What an accomplishment funny to see those bare trees in the background. We've had a rather cool spring but all our leaves are on. Ms. season closed yesterday.

Bears can attack people- although fewer people have been killed by bears than in all WWI and WWII combined.
