kennym LEASE UPDATE 2015 -- PICS
« on: May 03, 2015, 03:49:00 PM »
Well, folks, I put out 5 cameras to see what we got left. I have found half a rack from 2 bucks, one on each farm that I think any bowhunter would be tickled with.

Before I took the cams down in January I was getting a LOT of yote and cat pics.

We have lots of turkeys this year, or did before season, I think the turkey's version of season started about 2 weeks before MDC's     ;)

I called in 3 gobblers this morning and heard another before the wind got too strong to suit me.
Had a minor flaw in my setup according to the turkeys.....     :D

I put a cam in a new spot this time where there are large tracks both directions, can't wait to see who shows up there!!
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Good luck on the thunder Chickens...

Cats and yotes and turkey's don't all go well together do they?    :scared:

I'll come over and help skin, flesh and stretch them for you guys as fast as you can catch them!     :bigsmyl:

Maybe I can thin a few coyotes out to when you're not looking.

Good stuff Kenny!

Perhaps you can ask the turkeys what you did wrong?
Relax,

You'll live longer!

Randy, the problem here is small land parcels averaging a couple hundred acres. The guy next door may have a hemmorage if you get on him. Calling is better option, worked on that a couple times last winter.

Tracy, that is a wall of fur buddy!!

Charlie, they have told me many times, I just didn't listen....  :D

I love calling anything. Yotes with a longbow would be awesome.

I mean set up on the ground and specifically calling yotes. Not like I've done while deer hunting in a treestand and sqeeked em in....But I liked that too!

I took something with more reach last winter, didn't wanna educate too many.

Take them any way you can Kenny and be happy about it!

You will never hurt there population just keep them thinned down maybe, and if you don't this is what you will get!

Thanks Yellow Dog      :D

I say kill all the coyotes!!  I killed a nice doe on the north farm last year at 8:00 in the a.m.  Trailed her up at 10:00 just to find her half eaten up by coyotes.  Never saw a thing.  She only ran about 120 yards.

Tracy I shot one with a longbow about 10 years ago just like that last pic, but had blackish leathery hide all over except the 4" wide strip of hair down the back. Probably a big favor as it was getting real cold.

It was really windy the day David shot the doe as I recall. I told him he might have been scared if he could hear the yotes eating that deer, they put away a lot of venison in short order.   :scared:

They can sure get ugly Kenny and it's amazing how tuff they are running around in the dead of winter with hardly any fur. I like mine much better with a nice fur coat!!!      :bigsmyl:

The fifth one from the left is the one that Curt shot at your place why we were there.

Congrats on taking one with your longbow Kenny!

You've got some big dogs there Tracy! I've taken 4 with longbow, 1 with a com bow , and 0 with a recurve. So far I've only missed 1 yote with a bow, how the heck do I miss deer?? LOL
