What mineral are you using and how do you apply it?  Thanks.

I've been using lucky buck mineral in this spot for the past 3 years. I like to find a nice secluded spot where the deer move through of course but I find a nice old rotting stump and just dump it on and throughout the summer freshen it up.

Deer and other animals are attracted to salt in the spring when the new growth comes out. The new growth is full of moisture which flushes out the salts and minerals from their bodies so they crave the salt. This time of year, other additives aren't necessary to attract deer but many are beneficial for the deer.

I do my first mineral refresh in early March.  That way it is there whenever they want it.  I have used blocks from feed store and Lucky Buck but to me the Trophy Rock works the best. Lucky Buck is also very good but powder does not last as long.  The Trophy Rock is 100% made by mother nature and missing out in Utah or somewhere?  Since in "rock" form is seems to last a long time and not wash away.  Deer lick it or eat at ground around it.  Easy and works great.

We run $5, 50lb trace mineral blocks they last a long time. To heavy for you just score the block all the way around drive a screw driver in it and break it half. It's good for them!!!

Just a little example we won't change, they come back year after year and we watch them grow!
