I have about 8-10 in my collection.  With a 27" draw; they shoot great for me.

Ive had a few.....like them a ton.  And being a longbow person,  its a total 180 from what I shoot the majority of the time.  I still have one that I'll never let go of....from the early 70's.  It's a 45 pounder in perfect condition.  Maybe I'll bloody it this year....who knows.
Way cool bows though,  especially those older ones

Had a few over the years. Recently bought on of the new "Grayling Green" models
Once I got it it reminded me of what a great little bow they are!

I mostly shoot my other bows, but took my 45# KMag up to the shop tonight. I keep forgetting just how sweet that little bow is.

Right now I'm just shooting blind bale to get a better form burned in, but I found myself putting holes in a very tight little group in the butcher paper I had taped over the bag target and there was absolutely no stacking at my 28".

I will argue that with the 3M Scotchply glass my 1962 is the best KMag of all...I was wondering about shooting it at 30 inches until I found a Bear ad on the Archeryhistory.com website that proclaims it fine to a draw length of 31 inches...I call it the best 200 dollar bow I will ever own and one day I will kill a big moose with it

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

I just got a 2014 K mag from Big Jim a couple of weeks ago. I normally shoot long bows and 58-62 inch recurves. I was a little skeptical about a bow this short and so light but it is honestly one of the best shooting bows I have and has become my favorite. It was a little loud until I played around with the brace height and and replaced the factory string with one of Big Jim's strings. (WHAT A DIFFERENCE     ) Now it is as quiet as my other recurves and I shoot it as well as I do my Super Kodiak. GREAT BOW IMO!

I have an early 70's one now if I put the other bows down and shoot it for a while I do fine with it. However just to pick it up and go shoot if I've been shooting something else - not so good. My Grizzly and my friend's Black Widow are much easier to just pick up and shoot for me. I've pretty well put it aside and shoot my Grizzly. I will probably pick up a 58" Widow at some point. Part way through a 3D course I'll use his Widow for a handful of targets and just shooting it cold it's always 8's or better, love that bow. Try that with the KMag; not good.

I'm pretty much a longbow guy, but I have a '64 K-mag 48# that is just beautiful and I shoot it very well. Just can't seem to part with it.

It's tough to argue with Dave about anything, and I agree once again that the '62 K-Mag is a tough one to beat.

Mr. Bill Stewart sure knew what he was doing when he showed Mr. Bear this design.

My first new bow was a 48# 1962 K-Mag.  Loved that bow and wished I still had it.  Never had to worry about shooting an ugly bow with that one.  Bows are like your dogs.  Need one that you can sit on the front porch with and be proud of.

Blackhawk's photo brings back memories of my first bow, a 1962 K-Mag I bought new while in high school. What a shooter.

It may not be on the A list for 3d shoots and field rounds but it's plenty good for this hunter   :)   Almost 30 yards and COLD. Not bad for a short bow and a short archer

Killed my first deer with a K mag in 1976 but shot other bows for many years. Now hunting out of ground blinds the K mag is in my hand a lot more often.Kip
