New to me T/D - Bear "A" mag
« on: May 30, 2015, 02:01:00 PM »
When I was down in Baltimore I got hooked up with a fella that restores old Bears. We talked and when I got home I decided it had been long enough, time to see what this is all about. It came in the mail today, A mag riser in Black, #2 Limbs with red tips @ 45#'s. Hope to have pics up shortly.........I got to go out and shoot this thing.......pretty neet!!

Got out between thunder storms to shoot a few arrows. My 2016 Alum. arrows flew pretty good. Apparently I should have shot one of these back in the 70's. Pretty neat shooting a bow 40 years old and have it work so well. I'll have some fine tuning to do but that's part of the fun.

That is a beauty!  I've really gotten hooked on a Green Stripe B riser and now I have got a hankering for a A Mag to go along with it.  I have a set of Kirk's new limbs on order that I think would be really sweet with an A riser.
Congrats on your Black Beauty!

Ron...I think we bought identical bows in Baltimore!!! My Ninja bow...

I've always been a metal riser fan but we often hear the statement that there is nothing really new in archery.Well here is a 40 year old bow that while I have the new FF limbs on it, it's as quiet as anything I own and has shooting manners that are as good as any of the dozen different bows I have shot in the last 5 years. I'll combine that with some of my Dad's old green razorhead's and I'll have to beat the critters off me with all that good mojo  ;)

Congratulations on a beautiful bow.  I've always like the red tip limbs.
