It sounds like a great getaway hunt for 1 or a couple TN boys.

I am tentative (due to not predicting the future that far in advance)>

Minuteman and I will find a spot in the next couple months.  I'm thinking the last weekend in October.  I'm gonna just set it up and come what may.  It will be pretty informal.  The Hoosier NF is pretty big so we ought to be able to spread out pretty well.  Rut should be gearing up too about that time.  Stay tuned...

John, unless I am off on another God-forsaken job out of state, I think that me and flatstick and maybe a few other "West T" boys might amble down that way....keep us informed! Thanks, Mike

John,

Some place else you might consider is starve hollow. Very nice campgrounds with electricity and inside showers and facilities. Washington-jackson state forest is accessable from the campgrounds. It's truely a very nice little known state campground.

It's in Vallonia,IN. There is also a very nice lake and plenty of deer. It's just a thought

I agree with Night Hawk and I do not believe it will be as crowded at the Hoosier national Forest around Lake Monroe.

Even if I can't get the money up for a deer tag I wouldn't mind heading over for small game and the bow building. If I can work it out I'll be there.

Small game seems reasonable and the bow building sounds good. That just might happen for me.

Not sure about the bow building, but I'd be up for trying to hunt HNF or another public spot.  Sounds like a good time.

By the way if we primitive camp in the Deam we have to limit it to 10. they don't alllow groups bigger than that. Also we have to bring in all our water and pack out all our waste.

Sorry guys to interrupt here, but you will have to buy two $150 licenses before you can buy the $24 tags. I speak from experience, thought that it would be like that but it isn`t. The IN regulation booklet is one of the worst jobs I`ve seen lately. I killed two IN deer last year and one will make Pope and Young, but they want you to kill more does and rip you off. I prefer TN, a real good deal for NR for all woodland games!

John I'd like to go. I may even be able to convince one or two members of the Wabash Valley Elk Chasers Society to come as well.

Thanks again for all the interest.  This is gonna be interesting at least   :)    I have an email list and will add everybody that hasn't gotten it yet.

As far as the tags, don't buy the additional archery tag.  I think if you buy a bonus antlerless tag it will be $24.  Editorial comments belong on your own thread   :)

Hi John,
Sounds like a great time. I am sure interested. I also think I can talk some others from my area into a week like that. Any information will be appreciated.
