Bow for wife

My wife finally is showing a little interest in shooting a bow.  She's 5' tall, about 110 #, 50 yrs. old, and not very strong.  I have bows from 46"-64".  She likes the shorter much better.  According to my bow scale she can pull back about 30#,tops, with a 24" draw.
  Should I go with a kid's bow, which seems to fit her better?  I've been lookin' at the Mad Dog bows.  Their Pup Longbow, 48" long looks like a nice one.  Has anyone had any experience with these?  I'm just afraid she isn't gonna get into it and then it'll just sit.  She already told me she won't kill anything with it, but would give target shootin' a try.  Hey it's a start.
  Any thoughts on these bows, or any other suggestions appreciated.

That is what I said, then I got good at shooting and now I hunt.  I am the same size as your wife.  I started pulling 25@22" and now pull around 39#@22.  I have a 48" pup from Maddog and now Mike is making me one of his new 54-56" youth/lady longbows.  My new one will be 34#@22".  Mike is a great guy and I highly recomend his bows.  I searched for a long time to find a bow that would use all the limb power at my little draw.  It is so frusterating when your arrows will not even make it to the target.  Give Mike a call.  He will set you up with a great bow at an amazing price.  I think more women would shoot if they had a bow that fit them.

Thats missleading, I was going to say , lets see a picture of the Wife....I might trade ya....    
    She definetly will go up in poundage (bow) and her draw length will increas some....
    Katies advice seams good, the only other I can think of would be Black Rhino bows....

I went through the same thing with my wife recently.First I bought her a Great Plains Long Curve 60 inches and 35lbs at 28in though she only draws 24in. She is shooting a Proline Warf now with 24lb carbon limbs.She likes the Proline better and it has the best performance for her short draw.Another option is a Quinn Commet or Stallion.They will make lighter limbs for the Stallion.The only thing is the metal riser bows will be heavier in mass weight but that is easier for most folks to shoot accurately.You just have to decide if she can handle the mass weight.

The good thing about the Quinn or Warf is that either she or you can get heavier limbs for them pretty cheap.

Mine started with a Black Rhino kids bow but was soon shooting a MOAB with purple heart riser and black glass. Be sure to check with her on colors. Have fun.

Some years back, Bear made a "Lady Kodiak", a K-Mag in lighter draw weights.My husband got me a 25# one as I worked through some shoulder problems. Maybe there is a used one somewhere for sale.
