A little bowfishing and a new personal best.
« on: June 03, 2015, 06:22:00 PM »
Bowfished today for a few hours with a good buddy on the Meramec river.  The sun didnt want to come out and the water was falling fast which made some of our usual flooded honey holes harder to get to. And the lack of sun made seeing fish tough.  But once the sun finally popped out all was better.  Ended up shooting about a dozen...Mostly asian carp...but I managed to stick one good  grassy!  My personal best!  I didnt weigh it but its definitely my biggest.

All the fish were shot with my trusty bowfishing rig...a 56" browning wasp 45lbs

Great googly moogly! That's a carp worth waiting for the sun to come out!

I've adopted too many bows that needed a good home.

That is a really big fish man! Great Job!
I love getting in a creek and hunting down the biggest one I can find, that's good fun.

I'm always down around the Flamm City ramp.  I live about 2 minutes from there.  Last year I saw more 4-5ft gar than I have seen in a long time!  Hoping to get one of those soon!

Good luck to you!
