Riser wood to complement brown glass limbs???
« on: June 04, 2015, 12:30:00 PM »
What wood do you like with brown glass? Maybe, I've asked this before....

The link below shows a Whip I have that is Macassar w/brown glass. The glass is chocolate milk colored and I really like it.  Also love the Macassar but would like to change it up next time around.

Wood recommendations and pics are welcome.

I think a nice piece of Bacote would look nice with brown glass.

Bocote or zebrawood, maybe Myrtle.  Phenolic could be nice too.

Whatever  Allen Boice used on my Liberty longbow. I think it was Yew. It looks good.

one of my RERs has a Ziricote riser, with tan phenolic stripes and koa limb veneers, but brown glass on the belly. it's purdy! my Maddog has green actionwood riser and brown glass limbs. that's a classic look.

X2!
Plant a fruit or nut tree today, and have good hunting tomorrow.
