Screw-in vs. glue-on Simmons broadhead question
«

I'm trying to decide between glue-on and screw-in interceptors and tree sharks. Those that have used both, are there any differences in durability between the two designs? The screw ins would be my preference but something about the design doesn't sit right with me (looks like a bunch of blade and not enough ferrule for stability... I'm thinking of the tip being easily bent.) Am I crazy or should I stick with the glue-ons?

I asked the same question a while back regarding tree sharks & carbon arrows, and was told glue on with screw in adapters were the way to go.
The screw on heads require a longer arrow, so if yours are already cut to length it may be an issue. I was also told that the trailing blades on the screw in broadheads have a tendency to bend after use.

I put glue on Tree Sharks on a screw in broadhead adapter and use them screw in that way.

if you use the screw in treesharks I believe you have to allow 1/2-3/4 in. more arrow length cant remember which, I like the glue on best..

I use both screw in and glue on Tree Sharks. Only preference I give one over the other is I don't have to glue on an adapter with the screw in and know it's perfectly aligned..all have been so far anyway.

I use both. Just use the glue one when I want a heavier head. Have only shot about a half dozen animals with them and have never damaged one. I like the screw ons!
