I know some, if not many on here will say it is blasphemous, but I recently purchased a DAS universal mount and a DAS B SRF sight. Saturday I taped the mount to my ACS CX, installed the B SRF sight and started shooting. Frankly, I really have no concern as to what others might think or say. I'm concerned about me and my thoughts.
Actually, I initially didn't tape the mount on the bow because it didn't appear as though the bow's window was tall enough for the mount and sight to work. I eventually decided to do it anyway.
After I taped it to the bow and started shooting, I was pleasantly surprised to find that its use resulted in great groups at 10 yards. Then I started shooting it at 20 yards. The groups were not quite as consistent or accurate at 20 yards.
Then Budro, the owner of the shop came over, stopped me, took his Black Feather longbow and showed me what I was doing and then illustrated what I should be doing. After focusing more on my shots, the bow started shooting great groups at 20 yards with occasional fliers at 20 yards when I didn't maintain a rock solid bow arm. After shooting awhile, I removed the tape, removed the backing from the adhesive on the mount and secured the mount to the bow.
I went to the shop yesterday and shot it again. The bow was shooting great until I got tired and started losing focus. I'm ready to take the bow to IL the end of the month. I'll be setting up on trees at 15 yards from where I expect the deer to be. The best beware the bight of the arrows coming out of my ACS CX!
