After an ugly spine shot i decided that my recurve needs to wear sights for the rest of the season. (lack of adiquate practice at distance. due mostly to pesky neighbors who will call the cops if i shoot in my yard... despite a huge shed as a backstop!!!) The deer deserve my best and that requrese sights for this season!

so... i vote yes to that!

Bill, ya know what I think of the SRF.  I got 3 bows set up with them and if I don't use them I string walk.

It is not what means you use to put the arrow thru both lungs, it is that you do it    . we know that left and right misses are far worse for game recovery than up and down.  the SRF will stop the lef and right misses period.

If I got it right; wildman was trying to correct his shooting error- and found it was his bow arm not behaving. Nuttn wrong wid dat!

 Fred Bear once told me that the BEST way to find out what your doing wrong with your shooting; is to shoot an opposite hand bow. That is if you shoot right handed; shoot a left hand bow as if you were left handed.        
                                     
 I have tried this; and its worth a thousand laughs at yourself; because whatever your doing wrong shooting - will show it self: times a hundred!!

 Does anyone have target pins that are shaped like a half circle- for shooters that cant their bows?

I no longer have the DAS bow.  I've sold it and gone through several wood risered bows and I'm now shooting an ACS CX 3-piece longbow and a Crow Creek Black Feather 3-piece longbow.  I've got to get the second Universal Mount set-up on the Black Feather so I have it sighted in and shooting well with the SRF sight, too.

The shape of the SRF sight lends itself well to canting of the bow, at least it has for me thus far with the ACS CX out to 20 yards.

In a more "inconspicuous" view, I have a friend that trims the strike plate on his bow and sights down the top edge.  He trims it until it is dead on at 20 yds and adjusts up or down for other distances.  He seems to win numerous 3D tournaments that way too.  Not at all instinctive (to me) but I guess...."To each his own".

Just make sure that you calibrate it for no more than 17 yards!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, it is pretty much already calibrated for 20 yards.  However, by the time I go to IL I may be limiting myself to 17 yards, if not 15 yards!  It is deadly at 15 yards.

I found photos of it at wwww.kineticbows.com they are real descriptive and show the actual hardware and how it goes on the riser.  I know some guys that have made homemade sites that look similar.  And they say they were pretty well, and they improve their groups when they take him off.

BEWARE!!! I imagine in my mind(scary... might not wanna look to deep in there...) -The trad police  have gotten wind of this and are combing the woods of S.C. to remove your right to shoot trad     ... Sorta like the dumb Miller High Life commercial... sorry.. had to look and know that on another board that'd be the response.."EGADS!!! a sight on a bow?"

I am sure you're doing what is right for your situation! And if keeps you from stepping back to a wheelie bow or a X-bow with battery operated sight and as long you're having fun!!! Then thats all that counts...
