The Best Of Traditional Bowhunter
« on: June 18, 2015, 09:33:00 PM »
Years back Uncle Gene Wensel compiled a book containing a number of articles originally printed in "Traditional Bowhunter Magazine". I've been reading it again and it's excellent. If you haven't read this do yourself a favor and get ahold of a copy. It's 261 pages and contains an array of articles. Some "how to" type stuff, over seas bowhunts, nostalgia, adventure, as well as hunting philosophy. Great articles written by true bowhunters that are to be looked up to and respected. Check it out.

I picked up a copy at a used book store last year. I  have read several of the stories and still have several to go.

I used to take mine to the various events and have the authors autograph them. I will have to dig that out

This a great read, whenever other medias and reads don't appeal, I pick this book up and have a hard time putting it down I reread the articles often

That sounds awesome! What's the title? I'm sure I could track it down online somewhere.

Looks like Brother of the Bow are sold out. I'd try calling Robin at Traditional Bowhunter Magazine.

Id probably sell my autographed copy for $3000 or so    :D

It's a great book to have around.  I got a copy from Gene this past spring.  Sounds like I may have got one of the last few.

Last I spoke with Gene about this was a few years ago now and not that I want to speak for the guy but I'm sure he said the whole book thing was a nightmare to finalise and he won't be doing it again...
