It has been a while since I shot a Vanguard, but it was one of those bows I should have bought.  Chris was at the Coon Rapids shoot had a Vanguard, not really into the style of longbow but Chris encouraged me to try his then new bow, I thought I would give it a try.  Fit my hand very well, shot silver dollar sized groups, everything about the bow said "buy me"  wasn't really  looking hard, money really wasn't an issue, just wasn't buying a new bow at the time,  Chris is a really great guy so no issues w there, when I thought about the bow a week or so later it was gone.......

I have a Vanguard and love it!

Very quiet, I had a friend shoot it from a tree stand while I was listening. The only thing I heard is the arrow hit the target. I do have wooly whispers on the string.

I have no problems with it at my 28 inch draw for stacking or finger pinch.

It shoots a decent speed, but isn't the fastest.

The draw feels good to me, but I suppose that can be a preference thing.

Quality/workmanship is very good and the customer service is even better.

I will be getting a 2nd "backup" bow from Chris and Deb in the near future. I'm getting the 2nd one just in case I do something stupid to my current one like shutting it in a car door or running it over!

I love this bow!
