There is no comparison between the can foam and the repair kit from 3D target repair foam. The 3D repair foam is more expensive but is actually a better foam than rhineharts foam. Small repairs are ok with can foam, but for large holes and more extensive repairs the kit is better. Also, paint your targets with cheap exterior flat laytex paint for UV protection.

Unless the target repair kits have changed since I used them to repair our club targets years ago, I found one slight ratio variance of the components yielded a patch that was as hard as a brick. I have seen this in targets patched professionally in tournaments lately, some are so hard the arrows bounce off.
