Leon Stewart called today! (Pics added)
« on: July 06, 2015, 10:03:00 AM »
The new limbs are in the mail for my 3 PC Slammer. The bow will be 64" 45@28. The limb back lams are Waterfall Bubinga. Belly lams are 5A Curly Maple, stained to southern pecan. Cores are boo and the wedges are Curly Koa. I can't wait to see them and I'll post pics when they arrive.

Hey Dennis,

That's funny Leon called...I was standing in his shop on Thursday evening and he was showing me some of the bows and limbs he had just finished up.  No doubt your set of limbs was hanging in front of me!

Good luck buddy!

That is a sweet looking bow that's for sure.  I visited Leon to pick up may slammer last fall and watched him work a little.  A true master.  He put a new leather grip on a Toelke classic I have.  Made the grip better than before that's for sure.

That is one purty bow. Was going to try out one of his creations at Baltimore on Sunday of that weekend but due to the rain he had packed up by the time I got there. Maybe see him at Denton.
