Again, thank you to everyone! I am starting a mild workout routine to help build up some muscle and strength loss. Gonna go slow and not overdo anything and hopefully be ready for the end of next month.

Dang it TW, I hate to hear about your situation.  I also hate to hear you're even considering having to give up your bowhunting adventures.  Success or not.....time spent in the woods with the bow is precious and I pray that the VA can figure out a way to reverse the damage!

While certain types of nerve damage can heal, it takes time.  There are some supplements that are based on high grade B1 and B12 that can give nutritional support to the nerves.

TW, Spent 6 wonderful years in Salem Or. had 3 great daughters born there, I remember chasing blacktails on the Coast range, VERY hard, so thick and they would be close but couldn't see them. Liked hunting in Eastern Or. better. Will say some prayers your health returns.

Never hunted deer east of the Cascades. I did hunt elk back in 2010 in the Silvies unit and got my first and only shot at a yearling elk. 'Couse it was a by the scruff of the neck shot but, still was exciting.   :D

You need to go hunting any legal way you can.
Don't give up hunting. Nothing wrong with you using other weapons when you can't pull back your bow.
Hang in there and hope you get better. Heck I never got a deer yet with a bow. And its been a long time.
You can hop but you can't hide.
If it was not for rabbits I would never get a buck.

Nothing wrong with hunting out of a treestand. I've done it since the early 70's. You will be amazed at what you see, and how close you see it. Best of luck. It's not a curse !
