I placed my order for one on June 18th. Hopefully I'll hear from Dan by next week.

I really like mine: LH 66", 45@28. 2-pieces have a phenolic riser with wood overlays. Mine has yew limbs, lighter that gets darker along towards the tips (gradation).

I have a righty 64" 50# @28" and its the non HS. I really like the bow bolt system, and I like the phenolic riser, both of these things gives the bow a little more mass weight. Dans limb tips are so small and pretty, I like the narrow limb width too. The thumb rest in the grip area does for me take a little getting used to; mostly because its the only bow I have with it. The bow draws smooth all the way back, it's quiet, stable and accurate. Sorry I don't have any pics to share. Mine has cedar or juniper veneers, I forget which one. But very pretty and clean. Even though it's the non HS limbs, my longbow has great cast. I bought mine used and got a great deal   :)

I did my 2 pc Whip as sort of a black-out version.  Micarta riser of course, and all black glass on both sides of the limbs. Then Dan added a little accent of cocobolo in the tips and an overlay on the front of the riser and the thumb rest.  I think it really looks sharp.  I'll try to get some pics when I get a minute. I love the bow-bolt system, put together and take apart in a flash. I think it will work perfectly for my pack-in elk hunt in September. 64", 50#@28" Now I see someone had Dan build them a bow using green glass - looked nice!, has me thinking about my next order -hmmm

I have a 62" 45# Whip Original Bow Bolt TD but  hardly ever shoot it (too many bows and not enough time).  They are pretty, fast, and have one of the best matte finishes I've seen.  Recently tried selling mine because I just don't use it enough, but the problem with selling high-end used bows these days is that everyone wants them for low-end prices...even if they look and shoot like new, lol.

Whips are definately worth a test drive if you are in the market for a good bow.

Slender, smooth, QUIET, with the perfect mass to shoot straight yet carry all day.  What's not to like?  You will love it.  The Chinook is equally sweet.

I am in love with mine.  I have owned it for about 2 months and it is not leaving.  All around perfect bow for me.  Feels 5# lighter than it is.  Mass weight is perfect.  Profile is just so sexy and skinny.  Quiet, fast, and the takedown bolt is such a nice feature.  Craftmanship unmatched and you can have a custom in a month.

Now i just need a back up!!!!

Lone hunter, that's a nice 'photo in the snow'.

How'd you get your cat to snug up with your bow like that?    :)

The bow is 64" 62@29. One of Dan's first bow bolts when he was still using wood risers.
I was in an ambush spot during late season when this kitty slipped in hunting rabbits. Just thought this might be a peaceful pose.
