Dust collectors on display

What else can you do with old archery trophys?, put em in box's down the basement? you can't melt em down and sell as precious metal So I put some shelves in the shop and set em out for people to see....and to collect dust. I didn't think to count them, they're two deep on the shelves. They go back as far as 1960 and up to the 1980's
Sorry for the poor cell phone picture

There's a lot of loosed arrows represented by that collection. Very impressive display Lobo.

Bet there was no "peeking" on the shots that won you those! Burned a hole in that old turkey target! You are truly a master of the bare bow.

We have 4 cardboard boxes of them from the family. Right now they are in storage but soon to be given to a group like the boy scouts for recycling. As you, wrote, dust collectors

We have some as well, one very special one. My son at the age of 7, competing with every kid up to the age of 16, about 20 kids, took his first. On that plaque is also a nickel with an arrow ding on it, that was shot out of the air that same week. I epoxied it to the plaque.

Looks like "Gold Dust" from here, Ron.
The word "trophy" represents food, and I have a feeling that your freezers were never empty.

Nice display and very impressive, that is,what they are for.
Our UBM club in Mo. Run the archer portion of the "Deaf Camp " held each year for Deaf children and their families.
For several years we,collected members old trophies and repurposed them. These, kids really got excited each was awarded a trophy as the completed the range.

Their monetary value is probably very small, but, as the ads say, "priceless!"
It's like a scrapbook you can look at every time you walk by it.

Just so you'll know during my tournament days in the 1960's, field archery was very popular. There was a shoot somewhere every weekend so awards could pile up over the years.
I took another picture this morning and counted the ones on the shelves. There's 91, so counting the ones that were lost or broken over the years probably over 100.

Gee, Ron... That looks like the collection I once had around our house from my 2 sons!!!
Honestly though, to be fair... They were Juniors & Cubs, so there really wasn't THAT much competition!!!!! LOL
However... They RARELY came home "empty handed"!!! Maybe I should bring them up out of the basement & put them on display again...???
Wonderful collection, My Brother!!!!!
Easy to see where your years of knowledge & wisdom have come from!!!!! Thank You for sharing them with us!!!!!

I had a similar situation, solved it by giving them to a local archery shop for their kids leagues. The smiles are priceless! I did keep a cup full of medals.

If I didn't have the shop to put them in they would probably still be in boxes or donated to a worthy cause. They seem to fit right in where they are now.
