Well....here we are on the eve of the Elm Hall Swampland Smackdown. The trash is all talked, the bets are all made, and Lobo has his target gear all squared away and ready. I will be using my new hunting rig, a Black Widow PCHII at 60#, with Traditional Hunter Gold Tips weighing in at almost 650 grains. No target gear for me   :bigsmyl:

I even washed my Black Widow Cruiser (that's a little BW sticker in the corner of the window there)

I love ya Lobo....but it's on in the morning!!

Today's the day isn't it,should be interesting after all the smack talk.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

The only potential down side to the day will be mosquitoes. Otherwise rest assured there will be plenty of ribbing and laughter going on.

Are they still at it, did the Mosquitos carry them away, were there any tears shed, did Ron split any of Rogers arrows to get him out of the way?

Just sitting here awaiting the story to unfold   :campfire:    :coffee:

The boys are probably going to check in later. I received one text today with ron Greg and roger in front of a lion target (i hope they were keeping an eye open for dentists) and another with scores. That's all I've got for now. I'm  sure the widow kid will be along later.

Well here is the Shrew Crew contingent, plus our lovely judge and umpire Donna. Donna is an MBH Governor, and considering she and her husband Dan own/operate one of the coolest 3D ranges I have been on, we agreed she would keep us honest. Greg is solid guy, but Ron and I have that ugly competitive streak....Donna kept us gentlemen.

The Elm Hall course layout was excellent. It's a traditional only shoot, but they make it challenging. Here is Lobo LaClair preparing for a tough and realistic ground blind shot.

Ron watching as Greg (Shrewhaven Master Chef)prepares for a perfect arrow. We shot 2 courses....had Greg not stumbled on a couple early targets in course #1, he may have won the whole match. He beat me by 5 points on the second 1/2.

Another tough shot that Greg smoked...
