Western Outfitters
« on: July 26, 2015, 04:22:00 PM »
I am looking to book a hunt in one of the western states. I have been searching a number of outfitters but I keep finding short hunts, usually 5 days hunting, with a focus on high percentage of people who shoot animals. I am more interested in a longer hunt in a beautiful area and less interested, but not totally disinterested, in shooting an animal. I am thinking elk or mule deer. Anyone have any recommendations for an outfitter for a hunt around 10 days +/- ? Thanks.

start talking to outfitters about your needs--
and don't rule out drop camps or hunting on your own--to me 10 days is about right

Yep, been doing that. I have done a number of hunts on my own, looking for something that is a bit of an adventure and different. Thanks.
