Charlie, we had supper at Denny's.  Tommy figured it was easy for me to find and get back on Int 87 to head home.  Good meal.

Well at least you had a  big greasy meal to hold ya over.

I hope you all had  a great camp and saw some bears.

Why is there no news from Latuque?  Are the boys making it happen or what?

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

If we're not supposed to eat animals ... how come they're made out of meat? ~anon

Bears can attack people- although fewer people have been killed by bears than in all WWI and WWII combined.

On our way home!!  Sorry for the lack of updates. There is absolutely NO cell servos for about 60 miles. I just have to say it was just about the best hunt I was ever on. And I've been on some good ones....

Well, some of the southern boys are probably settling in. It's a long drive and I know the flights were crazy. I'll start off with....everyone had shot opertunaties. A few of us had multiple opertunaties.

I had great activity the entire week passed on a bunch waiting for the big one that I saw. After giving me the slip a few times during the week, I got a crack at him on Thursday. It looked like a good hit, quartering away arrow up to the fletching. Lost blood in a thick marshy area. We grid searched for hours but no recovery. The guys that were there could tell that it was killing me although I tried my best not to let it show. Fred Eichler put his hand on my shoulder and said "oh man, I'm sorry. It happens to the best of us". But other than that, it was an awesome week as usual
