An hour later Matty, John and I were headed back across the lake to find my bear....

It didn't take us long and as I was trying to find my way to where I thought he fell Matt said " Hes right in front of you " sure enough, he was right in front of me, he hadn't gone as far as I thought.
Maybe 35 or 40 yards from the shot.....

John had baited this sit in the a.m. and on the boat ride across the lake I learned that I had received the Platinum Baiting Package at no extra charge....
It included extra Attractant Spray, a big bucket of Sweets and full service drag out crew

Know it was time to relax......
We had about 45 min before Ginger/Gary would be done hunting so we just hung out on the lake waiting for dark so we could pick him up....
We seen Loons, a doe swimming across the lake going from island to island and then to shore.....
It was a beautiful evening shared with a couple of great guys!

Captain Matty, Glad you were a part of the Platinum Package and as Jim Craig said on The Man From Snowy River  " A man can be hard to find in the moutains, Your welcome at my fire anytime "

Chillin on the lake waiting for dark/Ginger  ....

Thanks Fellas!

Ron,
I helped bait the Glove three times, it was getting hit but the cam only showed one small bear, and the Masquitoes were just awful there!!!  Easily three times as bad as any other stand I was at!!!!
Not sure it ever got sat....
It's awaiting your return   :goldtooth:

Ron, I think the Glove was hunted only once during week one. The first day we baited that was the only stand that had bait left after a whole week.

I can't thank all of the great people enough that made Bear Quest 10.2 as great as it was.
The endless memories that I had at Bear Quest will last a life time for me. Great group of people in a fantastic place doing what we all love to do (Hunting with Traditional Equipment), I don't think it can get any better than that.
Thank you again to Tom and his fantastic crew for all of the hard work that they put into this event. And to each and everyone of the guys that I had the privilege to share Bear Quest 10 (2016) with.
 Thank You

Hey Buddy!  PLEASE tell us the story of your Northwoods conquest, Uncle Tim!

If I had to guess, I'd venture to say you smuggled a special can of Spam through customs, and used it as your secret-weapon bait to lure in the bruin of your dreams.

Do I win???

Congrats on your bear!
