I agree, hard to pick five I wouldn't hunt with. But I think if I could get all five together at the same time, it would be nice to hunt, learn and hear stories from the following.

Roger Rothhaar
Gene Wensel
Barry Wensel
Paul Brunner

Any body on this site would be a blessing to hunt with, for sure. But the first one that came to mind for me was Mike Mitten. I read a little bit about him when reading about Bart Schleyer. Who would also be on my list. I was realy impressed with Mike. Hopefully im not mistaken but when he was  asked who was his hero or something like that he responded by saying his only hero is Jesus Christ. That really impressed me. This past Sept While I was in Alaska, I stopped at a taxidermy shop to have my bear sealed, It was Fosters Taxidermy, I think. While I was there he had two pictures on the wall that stood out to me right away. The first one was of Bart Schleyer. I asked if he knew Bart and his facial expession just changed, shocked I guess that I asked the question. I could tell that it bothered him a little so I didnt ask all the questions I wanted to but he said that Bart was like a brother to him and worked out of his shop for a long time. The other picture was of Mike Mitten. He said Mike was a great guy. That was a pretty cool moment for me. Anyway I would hunt with just about anybody that shot a recurve or longbow at least once. So feel free to invite.  :)  Take care. I'm going out on the limb here...
True- I don't know most of you guys personally, but would like to hunt with anyone possible.  I could pick my Top 5 and not hurt many feelings for sure: so here it goes.....
The Wensel Brothers- no explanation needed, do they count as 1, 2, or even possibly 3 if they stand real close together?
Ok- I guess I can't pick any others, the list goes through my head and I would want to leave anyone out.  Sign me up with the Wensels first, and then I'll decide after that hunt  :campfire:

It's certainty an honor to make any-ones wish list. Quite an honor!

I've been a very fortunate individual in that I've been able to meet and hunt with many archers I've looked up to. I do think that we all need hero's, mentors, and guys we look up to. It keeps us all striving to to do better. It also helps keep us on track in times of need. Like I said, I've hunted with most of those guys I've admired. Some have become great friends and for that I am truly honored.

My top 5 list these days includes the names of guys who are not known in archery ranks, publications, or TV Shows. My favorite archers these days are those fresh to the sport and struggling to overcome obstacles. You guys keep me seeing a fresh outlook through these aging pair of eyes. Your excitment, your struggles, and your victories are all what it's all about!     I love all the new guys!!!! My list has got to include more than 5. CK

Impossible choice. I've been very, very lucky in that my first hunt was with two of the guys already mentioned (Charlie Lamb & Curtis) plus a couple of guys I'd dreamed of hunting with (Bob Walker, Vance Brewer, Mark Horne) I can't wait for the opportunity to share a camp with any or all of them again. I learnt more from these guys in 4 days than I could've in a lifetime without them.
Unfortunately my top 5 dream hunting 'Team' involves mainly folks that were dead a long time before I was born (Jim Bridger, Saxton Pope, Art Young, Ishi, etc...)

It would be a tough if not an impossible choice. There is really no one here I wouldn't want to hunt with! I do know that I would love to have Gene and Barry hunt with me on my property here in IN, just to learn from them what I do wrong! LOL!!

I believe every member of TG that I've met would be a swell companion on any hunt. Pleased to say that I've shared hunting camps with all but the Ferret from your list. And even spent time with Mickey at the MOJam gathering - talking bows, eating HDFH and shooting selfbows. Hope to keep the circle of great friends growing.

You can draw names from the TG hat and pick the next 5 for me.
