Who is Stumping?
« on: August 04, 2015, 04:12:00 PM »
I have been fortunate and gotten out several times with the dog, stumping, exploring/scouting, and picking some berries this summer.
Best shot of the day.

I spend a good bit of time out scouting, and when I'm out, it is often with bow in hand and quiver on my back, killing the wily stump. Good exercise, good practice for hunting, and just plain fun. This dandelion was just beggin' for it..

Looks like a great day out........one of my favorite things to do.

Ha. .  you weren't stumping, you were berry picking !  I love stumping, whether actually stumps or dandelions, or pine cones, no matter.

I think that is the "funnest" thing we can do with a bow.

Still fishing for Bass and Walleyes. Plan on picking up the bow in a few weeks.

You're Right Chuck, on one of the outings the berries were the primary objective. Lots of stumps between the patches sometimes. It's Always good to be in the woods. Begging dandelions, grass clumps, pine cones, stumps..., it's all great practice and a lot of fun!

ChuckC...yes, very similar. The one advantage still fishing has...I can eat the fish....bark is sort of tough on the teeth....even when properly cooked.

Joe. Don't want to hear any excuses when you miss that big one this season because you spent too much time fishing and not enough practicing. You missed a great time with Mike and Kenny at Denton.

Looks like a good time afield! I went stumping with a few friends a while back for the first time in years. We had a ball and I can't wait for the next round of it!
