« on: August 09, 2015, 12:42:00 PM »
took my daughter shooting last night, found some beer cans somebody discarded.  we set them up at different distances down a bush trail and had a great time.  (I think she outshot me but don't tell her.)

That's great fun!  I got my buddy into shooting, and we shoot a bunch of beer cans! He's having so much fun that he wants to get his boy involved. I gave Maddog Archery a call, and he put a bow on order for his boy. He'll be shooting coke cans with us before long,it's great fun. I wanted to try some baloons also.

Balloons for sure, kids love to see and hear them pop.

Tennis ball or stuffed animal on a string. Just give a swing and get out of the way and let the kids have at it. You can always play tic tac toe.

I take several at a time on a woods walk where I select the first target and we shoot. Whoever makes the best shot picks the next mark.  Style, pinecones, sticks, whatever is available.  I make it a point to avoid besting the mark so as to keep everyone involved.

There choice of target and its difficulty reflects closely there personalities.

I glue some pictures of animals, quail, dove, rabbits, onto a piece of cardboard. then using a wooden clothes pin I stick them in the ground. Kids use rubber blunts or judos and shoot them. when you hit them they  flip up into the air so you know you got them. Also helps them spot critters when its the hide and hunt game.
