Tok, Alaska .... It Feels Like Fall

Greetings from Tok! I've been all around the south end of Alaska the last several days and the weather has been superb. Now my wife and I are in Tok as I near the time for caribou in the mountains. Coming up the Richardson Higway I noticed some early fall color in the high country. Moose and caribou are still in velvet. Yesterday we saw a low temp of 33 F in the Chugach. It all combines to quicken the pulse a little and make me long for a leather grip in my bow hand.
Dinner at Fast Eddies and a night in a quiet cabin. Just a few more days until the Cub flies and hopefully so does an arrow.

Excellent! I must have missed it - hadn't realized you were hunting caribou this year. Are you then going back up for more next month again? Either way, what a great way to start the best season of the year! Good luck, I'll be watching for details to follow!

Someday. Until then I'll live through you. Good hunting and please post some pics for those of us that long to see that part of our country.
