Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,

No, I got it from my local sportsmans warehouse, but they didnt have my size in stock, so they are shipping it from another store.

I got all my wool today!!! I got the shirt pants and windblocker parka. Let me tell you, my opinion may be a little bias, but I think the quality is top notch. I’m a big Browning fan, and they have never let me down. The shirt and pants are more of a silk lined vs. fleece, which is nice up against the skin, but makes it just heavy enough to be a light jacket. It’s also supposed to supply some form of scent control, which is nice, but not necessary. Good for early fall hunts. The parka is much thinner than I expected, but looks to be plenty warm for later hunts. It will be a while before I get to field test it, cause I’m recovering from a surgery I had last week.

The outer wool layer feels very rugged, yet supple. High quality wool for sure. I don’t have any of the high dollar stuff such as King of the Mountain or Sleeping Indian to compare too, but for the price I paid for this stuff, I feel I didn’t go wrong in supplying myself with heirloom quality wool hunting fatigues. I scoured the Internet for a review of the stuff, but came up empty handed, so I just took a chance, and ended up very happy.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,

And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" Isaiah 6:8

Is the jacket significantly heavier than the shirt?
By the descriptions the jacket seems to just have more pockets, which is nice.

Its noticibly heavier, but I wouldnt say significantly. I didnt expect it to be as thin as it was. Honestly, I think the shirt one size larger than normal, with layers under would be perfect. I dont see myself wearing the wool shirt and parka at the same time, unless I was in the arctic.

The parkas liner is more of a fleece than the silk of the shirt, so there is more thickness, but not much. The parka is also longer. I dont have any experiance with the jacket, but it does appear shorter, and dosent have a hood.

For those interested in wool:
Bass pro has Browning wool on sale right now. From the description it might not be lined with fleece like the 2007 model Zmonster is describing but it is  a good price.
