Original 3 Blade Muzzy 125 for Trad Bows?
«

I have a bunch of these still from years past of compound shooting. I know they were originally designed for trad hunters but does that thought still hold true?
53# Predator recurve, 29.5" CX Heritage 250's with a 100 grain brass insert.
They fly great and hit where I look but should I set them aside and find something new or use what I have.
PS- I can not sharpen a BH to save my life that is why I like the replaceable blade aspect of the muzzys.
Thanks Ya'll!

If that's what you have then use them, with the 100g insert and good sharp blades you should blow thru most anything in Michigan. There good old broadheads and I killed a lot of animals with them when they came out.
Plenty of time to get other heads later

I like my 125 grain Woodsman's, but I've killed a few whitetails with the exact heads you mentioned, and 50# bows with no problems. They're good, strong heads IMO.
It's easy enough to sharpen the tips too, if you wanted to.

I have killed 3 deer and more tree rats then I'll ever be able to remember with a 50# Shakesphere ($50) bow and a muzzy 3 blade.... Then I learned I was doing it wrong
It is a classic for a lot of people. Plus, they are sold everywhere!
I've gone back to them this year

They will work. I killed a boatload of critters with 125gr Thunderheads back before I learned how to sharpen cut on contact heads!

I will be using the 100 grain 3 blade muzzy classics on a carbon express predator 2040 shaft this year. Total arrow weight is 350 grains and will be shooting it out of my 41# recurve. Sharpen the tips on a stone to make them coc and your ready to go!!!
