For you guys that shoot single bevel broadheads , what is your process for sharpening them ? Anyone ever used the KME on a single bevel ?

The KME broadhead sharpener works amazingly well on single bevels. Be sure to strop the bevel on leather with polishing compound rubbed in to finish the sharpening process.

I prefer a cross-cut bastard file....a dozen strokes or so with light pressure followed by very very light strokes gets them extremely sharp in no time.  Strop a few times on your denim jeans and they'll be razor sharp!

I've sharpened Grizzly single bevels and this year I switched to the new Cutthroat glue-on 160gr heads. I've never gotten my broadheads as sharp as I've gotten my new Cutthroats.

I've done a variety of single and double beveled,2 blade heads, both straight edged and convex, using the KME broadhead sharpener-all with excellent results.

Here is a single bevel:

I use a file and smooth them out with a stone, the first time. After that when they get a little dull I touch them up with a wet stone

I like the cardboard wheels on an electric grinder.  The mirror finish I can put on an ABowyer Bone Head or Brown Bear is pretty cool and they are sharp in a hurry.  Works on knives as well.

I shoot the Cutthroats and sharpen them on a KME knife sharpener. Like Longbow said, I've never gotten a broad head as sharp as I can get these Cutthroats. I strongly recommend them!

snakebit40 - I've spent the last week trying to get my Cutthroats sharp with my KME and continually fail.  I can do a lot of things, but sharpening a blade apparently isn't one of them.  I'd love to know how you guys do it.

Sharpened a plethora of two blades heads with a KME and all with the best results.  Both single and double bevel. The key for me was the KME in association with Ron's diamond hones and CBN emulsion on leather to finish.

Kme using JimB method with sandpaper and then finish with Razor Sharp cardboard wheel.  I was ok with kme and sandpaper but once i started finishing with cardboard wheel the hair falls off my arm.  Best purchase in a long time!!  The wheel puts them in a different league of sharpness in my opinion.

Did this review of the KME several years back. You'll find a little discussion of single blade sharpening.

Not really sure how one could mess up sharpening a single bevel broadhead of reasonable hardness no matter what technique they use...I just touch mine up a bit with a crock stick sort of stone
