This thread is always my favorite. I think Elk hunting is the apex of my aspirations. The terrain, the environment, the elk itself, spike camps, etc. As a boy I used to read the FLW outfitters school book and dream of guiding folks on elk hunts out west. One day I will get there but until then thanks for sharing all your stories

Talked with my hunting buddy in Northern Colorado today, it was 34 degrees this morning. A little better than the 90 degrees here in southern Oklahoma. Having a little deja vu. Looking forward to hunting with my son again this year. I'm 57 and he is 31. Some of the best days of my life were bow hunting elk with my dad when we were the same ages. The best day of hunting was the same place we are going this year, when I shot a bull with my Assenheimer with my 80 year old Dad right at my side. And yes he was still bowhunting elk. I pray I have another 23 years of elk hunting left!

I am so envious of those of you who live in elk states. We have tons of deer here in NJ but no elk. I don't think they'll make it here from PA during my lifetime but there's always hope. Best of luck to y'all.

Mike,
Thanks, but I didn't mean to post the whole folder... Those are just assorted shots of few animals and bows I've posted here.
It looks like photobucket changed and its been so long I forgot how to post a picture.
I'll try again tonight to put a few pics up.
