175gr broadhead...
« on: August 19, 2015, 10:45:00 PM »
What would you guys and gals say is the best 2 blade head at 175grains. I've never used a head this heavy but this years set up will permit a heavier head. Thanks as always

Any 125gr two blade glue on you prefer with a 50gr steel adapter, if you're talking screw-in.

I like Magnus Classics, Ace Standard, and Zwickey.

Simmons Tiger Sharks are my favorite 175 grain 2-blade screw in broadhead.

Heavy? I like the 300 grn. Steel Force two blade, single bevel Phat Heads on a 30.5" CX 250. They fly great out of my 50# bows. 13 gpp... total weight around 622grns.

I'm giving Simmons Tigersharks a try this year as well.

I like Stos two blade and they come in a 160 grain model.  You could bump it up a bit with split shot to 175 if you are shooting woodies. Don't think I'd mess with it for only 15 grains unless I had to.

I use a 125gr Stinger with an aluminum 50gr insert in a Goldtip Trad. Gets me 175 up front.

I love the terminator as well, but I think he was asking about 2-blades.

Exactly, my bad. Not a fan of 3 blades. I shoot the Penetrator.  :knothead:

yeah 175 grain head is heavy! i wouldn’t shoot a 622 grain arrow unless i was shooting a 77# + bow. i guarantee with a 300 grain point and 13 GPP you do NOT have a flat shooter, it's more like a bowling ball on the end of a arrow and its hitting the dirt at 25-30 yards.
