If Dan and Jared ever get some free time from crafting custom bow orders to r/D a new model of bow, I suggested a 62" Chinook to him. That would be a working tip 50's style recurve for us longer draw types and those who would like to stretch out a bit. Anyone else for a 62" Chinook?

He used to do a 60", but dropped it from the line cause the 58" is fine to 30. I had a 58" one and draw around 29ish and felt it could go 30. A 60" would probably go 31-32. 62" might work if he tweaked the limb so it wouldn't lose speed.

Also, they have the 64" SS so he doesn't want models to be too close to one another ya know. The SS is billed as a static but according to recent reports someone slow-mo filmed the tips and they do have a very small amount of uncurl at full draw so it's a tiny bit of a semi-static. I dunno if anything he could bring back the 60".

I had a couple 60 inchers.Excellant bow.I never shot a 58" Chinook.A 62 would be nice and add some length to the riser possibly.I draw 29.5".

I have actually hunted with a 52 inch Kestral the last 2 seasons and really like it a lot.

A 58" Chinook might actually work for you.A test drive would be nice.

I had a pre Chinook 1 PC that was 58" and it worked well for me.Cant remember the model name.

I personally prefer the overall shooting qualities of the Chinook over the super Static I had.

So a longer Chinook sounds like it would be something that would rock for you and guys like you with looong draws.

Thiers not to many 50s style recurves over 60".One that I have found that is definatly one of my all time favorites is a 62 inch Fox Breed T.D

A well designed 62" chinook T.D would be on my short list.I Love 50s style recurves

I think if Dan build a true 60" chinook he would own the 50's bow market. I had an older 60" and a newer 58" and side by side they were nearly identical. I draw a shade over 29" and my 58" gets pretty tight. The 60" Lynx recurve is a whole nother animal, they are crazy good back to my draw length and likely much longer.

The Chinook is the one bow from Dan that I would love to shoot. All the reviews I have read here have been stellar...many have even said it is his best offering, but I wondered if the the 58" would sufficiently draw out to 30". I have the SS and am spellbound by it. Eats my 30" draw for lunch and then some...a real smooth bow.

Tzolk, I'd be all about a 60" or 62" Chinook.

I owned one of the first Chinooks Dan made, a 60" bow. It was a superb 50's style recurve and one of the prettiest bows I have ever seen, Cocobolo/Juniper and I'll post some pictures later today.

A 56" has been on my mind. I draw about 28" so that should do.
Now the Pika is getting in the way of my Chinook thinking...

I own a 62" td whip and have been wishing I could order a 62" chinook. Something about that length bow just works for me. I would order one in a heartbeat if it were offered.

Ran in to a guy the other night at RMS gear who had what appeared to be a chinook but was longer. He let me shoot it a while. Awesome bow, fast, quiet etc. He wasnt sure what exactly it was. Just that it was a few years old, had Jared's name on the bow and that he had bought it used. Told him to call Dan and ask.

The 60" is back! I've been trying hard to resist since I already have one and a 58" take down that both work fine for me at 29". Just keep thinking that a 60" 55@28 T/D would be the last bow I'd ever need.

GregD has a LH 60" 1pc micarta riser 52@29 that Dan built him in November that he's trying to sell and I am bashing my head against a wall as to why I just bought a new Fatal Styk (thankfully the Fatal Styk shoots superbly). I'm still trying to figure out a way to get Greg's bow as I type this.

Had a 60" and a 58". 58" is where its at for the vast majority of shooters. a 60 will cover the long draw shooters. Never met a person who drew too long for the 60". If yah have the short gene then the 56 is your answer. The Toelke Chinook- If you're a recurve person it's your final answer! :D
