was just wondering how many feel as i due that you must put in the time no matter weather conditions and hard work of putting in, moving and modifying your stands. it was raining cats and dogs yesterday as i took down 4 stands of the mountain and put up 2 new ones. sore and tired as hell but it felt good, the rain is cleansing and the hard work must be done. i could easily borrow a 4 wheeler but i do not think that is how things should be done. i feel ya must sweat and bleed to make the rewards feel right. it is raining hard right now but in a few minutes i will head to my stand to watch the morning unfold, later i might move another stands. time to pay my dues!!!!

Good luck Ken! Rain or shine, I'll be headed out myself tomorrow morning. As for dues, I think you are paid in full.

I actually like setting stands in the rain.  It muffles the noise and keeps the scent down.

Good Luck!!!

Ken I agree, I fill you can't get them from in side the camp or home, you have to be out there no matter what.

I was fortunate enough to tag out early this year, but I was in the woods every day, dark till dark. Mornings were 70s afternoons 80s. But had I not been out there, I would not known where to move to get my buck. The longer your out there the more you learn.

To many of today's shows on TV makes it look like, all one has to do is walk out and you get a deer, then high five and do a little acting job. Yea, Ken you have to pay your dues and your doing a fine job.
Good Luck & Good Hunting!

   I'm with you Ken. I believe the greatest rewards in life are gained only through diligence and hard work. Good luck in your pursuits, brother.

I with you on this one. This year I have been out every chance I get. I put in the scouting time too. I've been sweating through this hot early season and now finally a cold snap. Leading in the cooler weather was much awaited rain. Though it came down hard on several  occassions, I got out there. Pay off, well I came close. I stalked with in 20 yards of a real big buck, (bigger then I expect for this place.) It's getting dark and I'm trying to get a shot. The wind swirls..... oh well, maybe another time. Today I was out in 30 MPH winds. Stalking again. I see no deer. I'm out there... I'm out there.
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

I work at my bowhunting all year. Checking stands, planting crops. clearing trails etc. I hunt and work on it rain or shine and it always feels good Ken. i always figure if you work for something hard enough it will happen in a big way, and it will be very satisfying when it does.
