What's in your quiver for Fall?

One quiver will have 1918s with original 160 Grizzlies and some shoot at anything broadhead arrows and two blunts. Another quiver will have Surewoods with 160 Hills and a couple of shoot at anything broadheads and a couple of blunts. Another quiver will have Surewoods with 160 grain Grizzlies with the same, another will have Microflites with Schulz Hunter'sheads and the same as the others.  I am leaving the options open for the new bow that is coming, an ambidextrous JD Berry Pluto, I am betting that it will like 45-50 cedars with 145 grain Grizzlies, but I have plenty of arrows to make adjustments if needed.

I`ll be using the 300 Beman "Bowhunter" ICS shafts, weighted internally with nylon rope, and Zwickey Deltas, and/or Magnus-1 broadheads.

I will be using the field quiver as well. I find the bear takedown is a little heavier than I like with a bow quiver. I would have liked to put water buffalohorn for the nock reinforcments because the black would have looked better,but I just used what was on hand for these arrows.

Osage self bow, self made arrows fletched with turkey and goose feathers from Michigan and stone points.

Nice looking arrows veneficus.  What wood did you use to re enforce the nocks?

This year I am going to try some Surewood shafts, tipped with good old Zwickey deltas. In the past I hunted with Goldtips, but wanted to try it with wood this year. They fly like a dream out of my new Yellowstone hunter, she is a beaut at 60" 60 pound at my draw....let's have a great, safe year folks!!

I used osage orange for the nock reinforcments. Osage is everywhere here.

340 FMJ's with 75gr Hit brass insert and 165gr Simmons Tree Sharks.

Gold Tip traditionals 7595 cut to 30.5", 100 grain inserts, 100 grains of screw in weights behind the insert, 125 grain snuffer, 3 - 5" parabolic left wing feathers and a luminok. Right at 700 grains.

Without going into alot of personnel detail, 3 or 4 broadheads and a judo on my matched woodies.I use a side quiver,easier to go through thicker cover and less noticeable movement when grabbing an arrow.

For my elk hunt next week, I'll be using Abowyer single bevel brown bear, STOS two-blade and Zwickey Delta 4-blade heads, one of each in the quiver, with an ACE hex head for stumping.  The arrows are Easton Axis and weigh about the same -- 600 grains, give or take a grain or two -- and have roughly the same high FOC. Will be shooting them out of a Morrison Shawnee or ACS longbow.

My Toelke Lynx will be shooting 30" tapered Sure wood Douglas fir, 75-80, with 190 grain Ribtek broadheads.
