About the heat... Yeah, that's always an issue. I went with the tan to attempt to lower the surface heat a little. Usually if its very hot out I'm not hunting much, and if I am the bow will only be in there for transport so it won't be an issue. If I did HAVE to leave it in there while my truck was parked for a while I would just lay some camo netting over it or a blanket. As a general rule though, I dont feel that rare cases of heat are bad for a modern material bow that is unstrung, but no doubt there are plenty of examples that contradict that idea. Some air holes in the bottom would allow for some flow, but its a trade off for water getting in so I opted against it. All subject to debate though.
