For those who notice inconsistent spine with carbons
« on: August 25, 2015, 10:10:00 AM »
The Gold Tip Traditional XT have been very consistent with spine. I'm on my 4th order of .340 XT.
41 out of 42 shafts have been almost identical in spine. Most are less than a 1 lb variance or otherwise undetectable.
There is a stiff/weak side. I spin them all and index nocks accordingly.
Worth the few extra $ if you are someone like me who needs all the help you can get!

Do you actually notice the difference when you shoot them?

The traditionals must be waaaaaay more consistent than the black XT Hunter shafts then! I have been shooting GT XT Hunter black shafts for years, and I never had one dz consistent in spine!

That is the main reason that I recently switched to Easton Axis Full Metal Jacket shafts. So far, those have all been the same, so I don't have to buy 3dz shafts to get half that many alike!
