I bought my first leather quiver back in early 90s...a Lakota styled quiver from a gentleman in back of Trad Bowhunter Magazine if not mistaken...  Anyhow it is heavy latigo leather, syn wool collar on the neck that folds back for every day shooting or can extend out for inclement weather when you want to protect fletching from rain or thick brush.  The ONLY issue I have ever had is I would sometimes push heads through the end of quiver if I was not careful and they were really sharp...they would cut parallel to the grain so I had a second layer of latigo put over the end portion and no more issues.  My only complaint is I could not carry judo heads or 3-blade heads in this quiver.
   

 
Finally I found one I liked...expensive....long wait times...and after 3-4 years of going back and forth on whether I wanted to do it or not...I ordered one in Nov-Dec 2014.  I did not care how long it took as I knew Steve had been sick for a bit and was ordering all new leather as that would add to the time frame and I was sure there was a backlog of orders for him to catch up on.

I got it a few weeks ago and have carried it twice now and LOVE IT.  Not as quiet as my Lakota style but much more versatile.  Nothing a shallow piece of high density foam in the end wont fix to stick the tips into and hold them a bit more secure when I am traipsing through brush.

It is very heavy leather....very well finished....fine detail for stitching both machine and by hand...great design..you can tell Steve does these as he would do them for himself and I noticed some improvements on mine versus what he started with for this model.

If in market for a new quiver...and prefer side quivers over back or bow....worth a look.

A very nice quiver, looks very well made. Should outlast you.
I know a couple of gentleman that have his quivers and have used them in Africa a few times. Only quiver they use, hunting, stumping, 3D. Enjoy.

Brock, I live only about 45 minutes from Steve and I got the first sidekick Steve ever made.  He and I worked out the design details I wanted--especially the extension over the top of the fletching--and after I picked it up I told him to feel free to add it to his line as I was sure other guys would also find it versatile.  Steve does work as fine as anyone.

I picked up a used like new one 3-4 years ago and love it.Very well made. Will definitely outlast me.

Thanks for alerting us to Steve's return.

I have four of his items and they are heirloom quality.  People have spotted his work on my back 50 feet away at the range.  

Steve has always been a first-class fellow.

Hooray.  

Now will have to order another style quiver.

yes they may be pricey...but this is a product that WILL LAST A LIFETIME...not a marketing hoax...it will last your lifetime with minimal care.  Thinking like that and spreading the cost over what I may reach age wise...makes it a bargain.
