Prairie Predator Longbow
« on: September 14, 2015, 12:02:00 PM »
After much research on many bows and bowyers, I Pulled the trigger on one,  to be made for me. I am giving myself an early retirement gift.  ;)
I corresponded with Mike of Mad Dog Bows,  and we settled on Zebra wood with the green glass. Having him drop a couple pounds on the draw as I am becoming a man of advanced years(50)
Now, the wait begins, hope to use it in the spring for turkey as for now our deer season will be here soon.

I'd love to have one of those.  Haven't shot one personally, but from what I hear, it'll be hard to beat for the money.

Those bows are rugged and move an arrow with authority. I just wished the prairie predator model was available in a 64" length

neat bow.  i may use mine more this season than last as it is just the right draw weight for tired shoulder joints

Mike built me this Prairie Predator and I love it. I recently put a big Jim quiver on it and it really balances well. It's my go to bow this year. Really light and super quiet.

My grandson shoots one.  A fellow that I cross paths with at 3D shoots hunts with one that he bought used, even though he has a collection of expensive bows. When asked why he said, "You know how it is, the first time you take your Black Widow up the ladder stand, you just know yer gonna ding it on something. So I just shoot deer with this one, it does alright."
Some look fancier than others, are they all the same price or is price understandably adjusted a bit for special features?

Congratulations on the new bow. I got a buddy of mine into shooting and he wants to get his boy a bow. I told him about Mike, and I called him and we have one on order that will be finished by the end of the week. I might end up having to get me one.
