Camo storage

Past years I have strugled how to store my camo's. I have stored them in tupperware containers, plastic garbage bags and such and always seem to smell like plastic. Any suggestions how to store camo's during hunting season to reduce odors from attaching to cloths.

I've used the green lined bags sold by Hunters Specialties for years. One for warmer clothes and another for lighter weight clothing. You can add scents to the bags, or just store them relatively scent free. They hold up very well.

I've always used a large tote - I put an earth scent wafer in with them.  No plastic smell that I can detect.  I've stored all my gear like this for 10+ years.

Mzombek I use the big tupperware containers and never have had a problem. I always spray the inside down with sent killer. Plus I always wash my clothes and spray them down before I put them away.  
However I do use the ones with the folding handles so I know the lids won't come off and if I am not getting a good seal I use the weather seal and run it along the top of the container so the lid seals tight.  The other thing you could do is cut a piece of thick cardboard and put holes in it.  Throw some debris (leaves grass) from where you hunt in the bottom and then put the card board down. Make sure the leaves and such are dry. Don't want mold. The cardboard keeps the stuff off your clothes but keeps your clothes smelling like the woods.

I just hang all my stuff in a musty old basement closet. Hang them outside for a few days before hunting season... They always seem to smell like dirt to me!

I am using a plastic container from zip loc this year.  It has a foam lining around the top and the handles snap the lid shut tight.  I put the fresh earth scent wafers in and its working great.

yeap.. closet with my other stuff seems to do well.the odors will attatch to the cloth as soon as ya put them on...

Barried my ghillie in the ground for a few days looks better plus has real eart scent.

Cedar chest for me, protects all my hunting clothes and plenty of cedar in the woods. I usually throw an osage orange in there once they start to fall as I'm kinda partial to the smell.

i put my wool in the freezer till spring, kills off all the evil hitchhikers.
my freezer is normally empty anyway!!
