Oklahoma hunters near OKC
« on: September 22, 2015, 01:46:00 AM »
I have not got to hunt in quite some time, but this year will be different. I am going to make sure I go out this year as much as I can. Does anyone hunt in the OKC area? I live in Edmond but am relatively new to the area.

I am in the panhandle but if you look in the OWDC reg's they will list WMA's in your area. There are quite a few in OK. A lot of private land in your area but get to know some land owners if you can.

You have two shops in OK the Nocking Point in Sandsprings and there is a new shop called Archery Traditions in Yukon.

You might want to check out the wildlife department website for information on hunting Lexington Wildlife Management unit and/or the bow hunting options around Lake Thunderbird near Norman.

Kaw Lake up around Ponca City also has a lot of bow hunting areas to choose from.

Best of luck to you this year!

Correction: Nocking point in sand springs:)
I haven't hunted any areas around OKC but there are some good areas that are bowhunting only
