My new Toelke Whip
«
on:
September 22, 2015, 11:04:00 AM »
I received my new Whip last week and I cannot put it down. It is made with a beautiful Curly Maple/Tiger Maple combo. I have some POC shafts headed my way, in the mean time I have been using the Gold Tips from my Recurve. It shoots them quite well and they are not tuned to this bow. This is my first Longbow and I love it. It is light as a feather and easy to shoot.
I made a matching back quiver and arm guard over the weekend. The quiver works great. I used the tutorial by Rob that I found here. It is moulded to my back and the arrows are easy to reach and the quiver stays in place. Here are a few pics.

Thank you all. The bow is 64" long and 48 # at 28". I draw a little over 26" so it is 43 # for me.

Thank you guys for the complements. I was also drooling over this bow on Dans site. I am hooked on the longbow. My POC shafts should be here on Friday so I can start tuning this weekend. I need to find a motor for the cresting machine I made. The little motor I used is way to slow. Other than that I am ready.
