Two tone cocobolo?
« on: September 23, 2015, 12:44:00 PM »
Thinking about a new build and the idea of dark and light coco keeps floating around my mind. Anyone have any pics of a two tone cocobolo riser that's all cocobolo?

Here's one I made, the riser is both cocobolo and bocote, but on the cocobolo part you can see the upper fade has some sap wood showing.

I made some knife handles with coco mixed SAP and heart.  Looks great.  There didn't seem to be any noticeable difference in the strength or hardness.
