Thunderhorn 2 point for LB? (pic added)

Hey Guys,

I have been using a GN kickback strap on on my TallTines Stickflinger since I received it, but decided to order a custom quiver last week.

I called and ordered a Two Point smallfry from Kim at Thunderhorn last week as I really like how solid and simple the design is, but now I am second guessing myself..

Is the spacing going to be too close together between the hood and gripper, and therefor cause vibration noise?

I was going to call Duane for advice later today, but was curious if any of you have used these on a similar setup, and what your results were?

I will post a picture of my riser to show what I am talking about.

Anyone with a limb bolt quiver on a 3 piece LB?

My wife has the Thunderhorn Boa on her 15" Dryad Orion and it works flawlessly with either Longbow or recurve limbs, don't know why it would be different for your bow, it looks like at least 15" from picture. I've heard of more noise problems from limb bolt quivers than Boa quivers but I haven't used a limb bolt myself so that is subjective. If you reverse the strap on the boa, it makes for a much neater appearance, you will have to play with the sizing and generally you will need to place it farther out on the limb where it's thinner and then slide/work it down onto the fades. You don't need to trim any off either, you just overlap it!

I have used the thunder horn two points on longbows and recurves with riser lengths from 14" to 17", no problems, no vibration.

If I'm going to use a bow mounted quiver on a 3pc bow, it is going to be a GN Quick Detach model. Best there is in my opinion!

Consider the Lynx model, I really like mine, and no vibration felt. Rock solid quiver.

I use a limb bolt Thunderhorn Small Fry on my Tall Tines Stickflinger and have no problems at all.  I also use one on my Tall Tines recurves.

Sirius I do like the Lynx but similar to what I already have.

Happy I did end up going with the two point, and shipping tomorrow. I just like the looks and idea of it being bolted on and sturdy on my LB.

I think you will be fine.Its important that you have the right arrow grippers for a tight fit.The fletchings may move more since you will have a lot of arrow hanging down below the grippers and they may move more than if thet were spread apart.

Just make sure you have good fletch clearance before you push your broadheads  all the way in (then you will only have 1 slit in your hood foam for each head that you don't want to tear up too much) so you can keep your fletching from brushing together if their's more arrow movement.That causes noise.
