TradGang Revenge Hunt II
« on: October 01, 2015, 05:35:00 PM »
With 8 inches of rain expect we're going to have to have some high top boots and maybe a couple of canoes. Not sure if the water will be receded by then....if not the Hogs will be limited to less acreage.

I know Joe, Keith and Alvin will be there..... and I hear armadillo slaying Todd H will be there...And maybe Bob C.....who else?

Sounds like you'll have 'em cornered.  Good luck!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

They'll be a lot of floating acorns...and they will push to the edges of the pans full of water.

Some of those pines will require one of those canoes....or hip boots.      :readit:     :biglaugh:

Just get you some of those camo skeletoes shoes and wade it.  Some muddy water would probably make a good cover scent anyway.

I'm down here in Columbus, GA and I'm hoping we don't get too much of the rain. Most of the spots I'm working this season are creek bed / swamps in the hopes of increasing my odds of there either being pigs or a deer coming by. If there's as much rain coming as some folks say my 3 legged stool is gonna need an anchor.

Yeah....Wild Things. ....

I haven't heard how much rain Columbus is getting but they're calling for eight inches in South Carolina.

Oh don't worry I will wade if necessary ...that surely won't stop me from hunting.

I remember once at the Paradise when Joe's Road became Joe's island and we chased hogs for two days round n round.

Smokin Joe should be the last guy in that group who didn't sound off.

I talked to Andrew yesterday for a few minutes, he said most of the <24 hour old sign was in the open where they appeared to be using the rain softened ground for hitting grubs/worms. I agree the tide of acorns could be perfect about the time you guys get there.

He also said he drove up on *30 of them between the turkey foot and Mullberry and they didn't even stand up until the Gator was within 40 yards. If rains continue like you say, you'll need to punch in from Blue Lake side to get to them.

I should get some more info over the next couple days, I'll drop any relevant updates on this thread for you guys.
