I'm still trying to figure out if Jack is coming as planned, or if he needed to postpone to a different week.  I marked the hunt as full until I get confirmation, but there might be a last minute opening.

If folks are thinking about joining a hunt, it sounds like a few individual hunters are eyeing the November 10-14 hunt. That might be a good one to inquire about. After that it's pretty full for quite a while.

We will all probably get pretty wet, but we will be a happy bunch.    :bigsmyl:

I think the hogs might be a bit concentrated if the swamp water and river are high, unless they learn how to tread water.    :bigsmyl:

I just finished my hog arrows. After a lot of fiddling around with a new carbon shaft/head combination, I decided to go back to my 585 gr 2117 hog arrow with a 3-blade VPA up front. Those VPA broadheads sure can get crazy sharp...I mean like a barber's razor. Wow! Must be some pretty good steel.

That's good medicine for hogs Joe......most of my hogs were killed with 585 grain arrows and 3 or 4 blades......

Yeah. ...looking forward to it.....and getting wet is no problem....probably take care of that 1st thing every outing.

I think it's gonna be a good hunt !!!

Bear Super Razorheads for me. Gifted by Jack from our last hunt there.

Looking forward to it.

Thom and Terry: Will do. My arrows are in colors that represent some good things in my life -- and I put all of the good mojo I could muster into assembling them.

Bud: Love those Bear razorheads. They are classic.

Counting the days now.

Terry, I hope you packed your flippers and face mask for this hunt. You might need them. Also, you may want to read Howard Hill's story of shooting the bow underwater. Good luck!

Got a note from a Wildlife officer here in TN... the team of "possum cops" were "activated" Sunday...4 already were off to Charleston to evacuate people...and he was figuring he'd be sent to Myrtle Beach...

Sounds gnarly!

Watch out for slither tails!  After re-watching Lonesome Dove, Oye!    :scared:

I talked to Andrew yesterday and he said actual rainfall at the camp was 2" during the big storm.

Sounds like steady drizzles are light, but will be continuing for the next 2-3 days.

Roads are very slippery on the property, but no flooding at this point. The entire property is still accessible. If it slacks off it just might dry out a bit for you guys!

By the way, email sent to you fellas    :readit:
